  7. This version of Acrobat Distiller 3.02 Upgrade will run on Apple 
  8. Macintosh, Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows NT, Sun OS, Sun Solaris, 
  9. AIX, and HP-UX operating systems. (See Adobe Acrobat 3.0 Getting 
  10. Started Guide for OS version information).
  11. The Acrobat Distiller 3.02 upgrade is available in English, Spanish, 
  12. German, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, French and Japanese for Apple 
  13. Macintosh and Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows NT. It is available 
  14. in English for Unix platforms.

  29. 1. Run the Installer.

  33. 1. Find your Acrobat Distiller 3.0 or 3.01 serial number. Write this 
  34.    number down.
  35.    How to find the serial number:
  36.    Start Acrobat Distiller. From the Apple menu choose "About Acrobat 
  37.    Distiller". The serial number will appear on the splash screen 
  38.    that is displayed.
  39. 2. Open your "Adobe Acrobat 3.0" or "Adobe Acrobat 3.01" folder and 
  40.    move the "Acrobat Distiller 3.0" or "Acrobat Distiller 3.01" file 
  41.    to your desktop.
  42. 3. Download the Acrobat Distiller 3.02.hqx file or .bin file.
  43. 4. Unpackage the file you downloaded which contains the files: Acrobat 
  44.    Distiller 3.02 and the ReadMe file.
  45. 5. Drag "Acrobat Distiller 3.02" into the Acrobat 3.0 or 3.01 folder.
  46. 6. Double-click Acrobat Distiller 3.02 and enter your name, company 
  47.    name, and serial number when prompted.
  48. 7. Once Acrobat Distiller 3.02 launches, quit the application.
  49. 8. Drag the old copy of Distiller on your desktop to the trash.
  50. 9. Empty the trash.
  51. 10. Restart your computer.
  52. 11. While the computer is starting-up, rebuild your desktop by 
  53.     holding down the Command and Option keys.

  57. 1. Find your Acrobat Distiller 3.01 serial number. Write this number 
  58.    down.
  59.    How to find the serial number:
  60.    Start Acrobat Exchange. From the help menu choose "About Acrobat 
  61.    Exchange". The serial number will appear on the splash screen that 
  62.    is displayed.
  63. 2. Run the installer and enter your serial number when prompted.

  66. General Issues

  68. 1. Graphics will now appear when the resolution is set to higher than 
  69.    1700dpi. Adobe PR#229316
  70. 2. PDF Mark operations larger than 128K now work. Adobe PR#229317
  71. 3. Some files containing Type 3 Fonts did not display or print 
  72.    correctly compaired with the original PostScript Language File.

  74. 4. Watched Folders: In the Watched Folders dialog box, if the option 
  75.    "Delete files in 'out' folder older than XX days" is selected, 
  76.    only the *.ps files are deleted. You must manually remove any other

  84. 1. Sometimes adding Watched Folders, Distiller would crash. This has 
  85.    been fixed. Adobe PR#229419

  89. 1. Changed Watched Folders options will now be saved once Acrobat 
  90.    Distiller 3.02 running on all version of Microsoft Windows is 
  91.    quit. Adobe PR#229201
  92. 2. When running Acrobat Distiller 3.02 on Microsoft Windows NT4.0 
  93.    memory is no longer lost while using watched folders. Adobe

  95. 3. Acrobat Distiller 3.02 running on Microsoft Windows 95 will now 
  96.    allow for longer file names, file names with spaces and upper

  98. 4. Acrobat Distiller 3.02 running on Microsoft Windows 95 will now 
  99.    open files when they are dropped onto the Distiller icon, Distiller 
  100.    short-cut icon, or when using the "file open" option.

  106. In addition, the following bugs were fixed in the Japanese version of 
  107. Distiller 3.02:

  109. 1. Inability to user Apple Script with the Distiller on Macintosh was

  111. 2. A problem in which Distiller Assistant on Windows replaces a 
  112.    Japanese file name with a hex string when using the AdobePS driver 
  113.    4.2.2J was fixed. Adobe PR#295394
  114. 3. A problem in which OPI Comments in PostScript files created with 
  115.    Pagemaker 6.5j were not included in the PDf file Distilled on the 
  116.    Macintosh was fixed. Adobe PR#297682
  117. 4. A problem in which Distiller Assistant if left running on Windows 
  118.    NT 4.0 Server consumed virutal memory when having multiple watched
